Yesterday I picked up a Pioneer DJ DDJ-RZ to leave at one of the clubs I DJ at.
When I got it I was hoping for it to be like the Pioneer DJ DDJ-RZX just without the screens, but I was wrong. Here’s some of what I found and didn’t like.
- Sample Rate only does 44100HZ
- Jog Wheels are electrostatic not mechanical
- Placement of some knobs are in completely different locations
- Sampler volume is a knob not fader
- Mic 2 input is a 1/4′ only plug
- Mics only have Hi and Low EQ
The Pioneer DJ DDJ-RZ is a nice controller, but don’t be fooled. The Pioneer DJ DDJ-RZX is THE BEST DJ CONTROLLER MADE currently.
