If you are a trivia host and are new to the SpeedQuizzing Software but don’t want to buy their special “Hub” to use it your in the right spot. There is no need to blow more money on gear that you might already have laying around. I have discovered how you can use a spare router as your “Hub” to host and have full access to the software.
First you need to get access into your routers settings.
Next goto the Wireless Settings and change the Wifi Names so phones can connect properly.

Now lets make it so the SpeedQuizzing software and see it.
Here you might have to go into the routers Advanced Settings. On NetGear Routers it’s called “LAN Setup”. Your basically looking for your routers IP address. Once you found it change the IP address to the one below.
IP Address
192.168.226.1
Make sure you SAVE all of the settings in the router before continuing.
You are now good to open the SpeedQuizzing software. Hub Detection will come up in Blue and will say “Ruckus Hardware Connected”.
As always it’s best if the host computer is connected to the router with an ethernet cable and not the “Quiz” wifi, but you can if you have to.
I have tested this on SpeedQuizzing PRO version 5.3.11
